CloneMan The Amazing : Chapter 2 - The Airship Break in Written by : Devon King

Metal-Fist and Psychic stood on the dusty cliffside, staring in bewilderment as Clone-Man and Sticky, his ice cream-coned sidekick, hummed Purple Rain by Prince. While Sticky juggled small metal boxes, Clone-Man, with an exaggerated flourish, fashioned them into a makeshift cannon."You’re telling me these are the guys everyone’s been hyping up?" Psychic asked, skepticism dripping from his voice."Yeah," Metal-Fist muttered, arms crossed, glaring at the eccentric duo.

"These guys are idiots."The cannon let out a loud thud as Clone-Man finished his work, a grin stretching across his masked face. “Alright, ready to rock!" he said, slapping the side of the contraption."Uh, question!" Sticky piped up, his hand raised like they were in a classroom.

"We still gettin' paid for this, right?"Metal-Fist's face darkened with frustration, his metallic fist clenched. “The Earth is in danger! There’s a being in the core of that ship that will destroy the world if we don’t take this seriously. You’ll get your money!

”Clone-Man shrugged, adjusting his mask. “Man, you don’t have to yell about it. We said we’d do it.”Without missing a beat, Clone-Man jumped into the cannon, launching himself high into the sky. His form soared, the wind whipping past him as the airship loomed closer. At the peak of his ascent, he split into four identical versions of himself.

The clones spread out in synchronized military fashion, descending toward the ship’s deck like seasoned paratroopers. With a loud crash, they broke through the ceiling, sending shards of metal scattering. Alarms blared instantly. Guards, alerted by the noise, rushed forward, guns drawn. But Clone-Man and his duplicates were a whirlwind of flips and punches, taking down the guards in swift succession. The clones moved with seamless coordination, overwhelming the opposition, blending combat with a hint of showmanship.

It was impossible to tell which Clone-Man was the original—each one equally devastating. After clearing the room, Clone-Man continued deeper into the ship until he found himself face-to-face with the core chamber. The door slid open with a hiss, revealing the heart of the ship. There, suspended in a glowing pod, floated a girl. Her eyes were closed, her body limp, but energy pulsed around her.

Time and space seemed to ripple and bend within the confines of the pod. Clone-Man paused, staring at the sight before him. It wasn’t some machine or weapon—it was a person. The air hummed with raw power. Objects in the room flickered in and out of existence as the girl’s unstable energy warped reality itself.

A soft hum echoed from the pod, and Clone-Man’s sharp eyes picked out wires connected to her, draining her powers and funneling them into the ship.“No way...” Clone-Man muttered, stepping closer. “They’re using her… to manipulate time and space?”Suddenly, the girl stirred, her eyelids fluttering. The entire room trembled as her control faltered.

Clone-Man took a step back, watching as the reality around him shifted—walls bent inward, then stretched out again, and the ground rippled like water beneath his feet.He was going to have to act fast, but how do you save someone with powers this dangerous without making things worse?
